SEA Conversations | Winter 2023-24
The Bookmakers
Prasad Shetty
A translator translating anti stories and absurd narratives; an angry activist writing a biography of a failed movement; an urbanist compiling intimate engagements with the city; a historian putting together a queer reading of architecture; a researcher arguing for narrative and collaborative methods, an artist collecting diaries, notes, journals, logs and other explorations of friends; a teacher writing a biography of an architect, and a book-maker making books to hold contradictions in time, space and life… The SEA-City conversations of Winter 2024-25 was a medley of people who explored life through books. The series included book launches, readings by authors and translators, and an exhibition of a book collection.
